THe Foot Family in Rawene for Christmas

Going to see the whales in Kaikora is something I have always wanted to do. Lots of people were inside the boat (in fact at least half of the boat) not feeling very well - luckily we had our wrist bands on to prevent sea sickness. There was a paid person on board to take away sick bags!! Anyway we saw two sperm whales surface and then dive. The sea canyon where we we were was more than 5 Eifle Towers deep and so this attracts the whales.

Meeting up with Kate and Grant near Hamner Springs for breakfast.

Lola was showing Henry and Tazmin around/

Down in the South Island

Nicki, Michael and Tazmin, Jaime, Henry and I went over to the South Island and went to Timaru to see Angela, Simon and Lola. Kate, Grant and their two children were also there at the same time. We along with Kate and Grant hired campervans and met up later on. Angela and Lola came up to Kaikora for a couple of days which was great. It was great to catch up with everyone together.
